Hello my sweet Blogger friends. The design tram was asked to create a card with the color green as the predominant color and using one of SST's Digi stamps.

I chose the stamp "Sally" isn't she sweet and dressed her in green The card is 4,25 in. square with rounded corners the design is from one posted on "My Cricut Craft Room" Challenges The card stock is from my stash the printed paper I printed from a file I downloaded from the internet the sentiment is a $1 acrylic stamp from Joannes

Pink Buttons and Bows Card Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Which Came First Scrap booking or Stamping" Blog Hop.!
This one is all about what came first for us - and how we all started in this craft. So this blog hop will be all about what you started with and why! If you have arrived here from Vicky's then you are on the right course. If you just happened along by accident and want to join the fun then hop on over to Lynda's to start at the beginning!
I started with Scrap booking when I was in High School nearly 50 years ago. I was given a camera by my parents for Christmas one year and that was my very meager beginnings. Stamping came much, much, much, did I say much later like only very recently say within the past year or so.
Here is a Picture of my first scrap book ( now don't laugh it wasn't an art back in the day)

It continued on like this for a long time, The black paper and photo corners gave way to Sticky pages with a film cover ( I don't have any of those to show because I had to remove the pics I had so they would not get destroyed.

Then in the 90's ( that was a very long period of time ) My daughter introduced me to Creative Memories and Scrap booking became an adventure! All that paper ( I'm a paper hoarder big time ) and glue and stickers WOW.

To say the least I was overwhelmed with all the stuff and I take forever to complete a page I have one or two that need to be completed and many pictures to scrap.

I created this page and a companion one and it only took like 2 years to complete and then again not sure it is complete LOL

My latest paper adventure is into the world of mini albums. I have a couple started and in some phase of development ( same problem too much stuff to chose from) This particular one is going to my Aunt who will be 90 this month!

My love of paper has recently gone digital and that is loads of fun and I don't take as long to complete a page. Here is my latest project

As for stamping well that is a very recent interest, It started with sentiments and has now progressed to images and coloring. I am a real novice at it!

SST Sketch Challenge for February!

Hello everyone, well today Sweet Stamping Treats is hosting a sketch challenge and your are all invited to play along.We have a fabulous new sketch for you, and we want to see you create! I used SST's "circle Hearts" digi and colored it with Bic 'Mark-it" markers added glitter and silver liquid pearls

The papers are all from my stash except for the large circle Which I printed from a file I purchased from Scrap Girls I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder from the Spring Time and Borders Set for the large mat added some yellow ribbon a little stitching and it was done I'm thinking it is missing something maybe a little lace around the larger circle. What do you think?

Guest Designer Spot at Her Craftiness Blog

Welcome everyone to my Guest Designer post for "Her Craftiness" .

My Guest Designer Project is a card I created for my Dear Sweet Daughters 30 something Birthday.

I can't take credit for the idea though. I got it from a sweet Blogger friend Laurie (one of my first and the ones who inspired me to get into the blog world) at http://serenityscrappers.blogspot.com/2012/01/fun-birthday-card.html

My daughter is a shoe freak she has so many she needs a closet for her shoes alone ( I exaggerate a little LOL) so I decided to use that as the image on her card.

The base is a standard 4.25 x 5.5 white card.

The next layer is black Recollection card stock at 4 x5.25

On top of that I put a piece of black and White patterned paper 3.75 x5 from atd called" heart flourish" Love this paper.

The Shoe was cut on my E2 cricut at 3.5 inches the image is from one of the cartridges loaded on the E2 I used all 4 layers black for the shadow silver for the full shoe pink glitter paper for the next layer and the red on the top layer.A piece of white ribbon that I hand foded and glued at the bottom with a few silver beads.The Birthday sentiment is from "My Creative Time" along with the mat shape.

Inside I used a couple stamps the daughter is from my vast colection of un named acrylic stamps the sentiment is from K Andrews Design Stamps "Fashionable Friends" I decorated the inside to coordinate with the outside. I love how this looks and so did she!! Thank you Lynne for giving me a chance to showcase one of my favorite cards . Hope you all enjoy my card.

It's Mardi Gras Blog Hop

Welcome to our Mardi Gras parade. I must warn you though while you may enjoy jumping up to catch beads, doubloons, cups, stuffed animals--whatever! Please yell at the float riders "Throw me something, Mister!" Bring a large, sturdy plastic or cloth bag to hold all the treasure you'll be catching - if you try to put all of your beads around your neck, you'll have a hard time standing up straight! Be prepared: some people get so overcome with excitement they will occasionally jump in front of you to grab what a rider has thrown to you. Don't get into a tug-o-war....there are many more floats on the way! If you're from far away, some visitors hold up a sign saying where they are from.. our local riders love to see people from far away have a good time and will throw to them to make sure they do!

The colors of Mardi Gras are: Purple which represents justice; Green which represents faith; and Gold which represents power.Mardi Gras is always held the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras is music, parades, picnics, floats, excitement ... and one big holiday in New Orleans! Everyone is wearing purple, green, and gold; and adorned with long beads caught from the beautiful floats. They sit on the ground throwing balls, playing music, having a picnic, and watching the crowds walk by between parades.

The box was cut from "Sweet Treat Boxes" at fit to page in purple Recollections card stock The Harlequin paper is from a digi file I purchased from Scrap Girls and printed with my printer as are the crown Fleur-de -Lis and the coins. The picture I found on the Internet don't recall where. but love it!
For the mask I used "Chick and Scary" to cut it out on some Recollection specialty paper trimmed with emerald colored bling, Feathers and some paper flowers from Michael's dollar bins, added some golds,. green and purple ribbon from my stash. Hope you enjoy my project I had fun making it except for the Hot Glue gun part I'm all thumbs when it comes to glue guns!

Hello everyone so glad you could join us on our second "Calendar Girl" Blog Hop!
I got to be first up because I Chose "American Heart Month " which begins on Feb 1st.
More women die of Heart disease than all forms of cancer combined, Some thing I have only recently learned. The American Heart Association in 2004 created a "National Wear Red Day" to help increase awareness and hopefully reduce the numbers of women who die from heart disease.
I created a card to commemorate that event and to highlight the importance of living healthy as a deterrent to the disease.

The card base is from a pack of Rickrack Cards by DCWV and are flat cards measuring 5.5 x5.5.
The rest of the paper is from my from my stash. I used my Gypsy to help to create this card .The red mat is 5 x 5 Recollections card stock The hearts were cut from George and Basic Shapes in 2 different sizes to fit within the 5 inch square. The little lady in the red dress came from "Forever Young" cartridge. Her dress was embossed with tiny hearts embossing folder (Swiss Dots for the white heart and Victorian for the red mat) The Go Red logo I copied from the American Heart Association web site and re sized and printed on white card stock then cut it with a shape from the Sophie Cartridge and matted it on a black slightly larger cut added a ribbon and a bow.
This is the back which I also copied from the AHA website . I added my own little note at the bottom.

For my card I printed one of the images on white card stock colored it with Letraset Promarkers Cut it out with a scalloped circle Sizzix die cutter I went through my hugs stash of 'scrap' paper and pulled out some fun colorful spring prints and solids Used an EK success scallop edge punch on one end of each piece and layered them The card base is a lite green card stock cut the long way ( 11 x4.25 ) and folded in half. The sentiment is from Pink By Design "Scripted Year" and the sentiment mat is from My Creative Time Curly Label Die.

We're Off To See The Wizard Blog Hop

We're Off to See the Wizard the wonderful Wizard of Oz to hopefully get the Tin Man a heart, the Lion courage, and the Scarecrow a brain! But there's the poppy fields to beware of as you could get very sleepy! The Wicked Witch but we know she's afraid of water. The flying monkeys . . . just totally freaky looking!!!! You're probably still dizzy from the spinning whirling twirling house and watching all those things passing by like a nightmare expecially that Miss Gulch on her bicycle! Poor Toto hiding in the basket, but can you blame him? Don't pay any attention to the man behind the curtain as he knows not what he speaks! And then there are the delightful munchkins that sing 3 octives highly than humanly possible. I almost forgot the good witch Glinda - how could I forget her --- she was just too sugary sweet to my standards but as a Good Witch goes, she was the best, but why didn't she just tell Dorothy she had the power to return all along and wait until the end - geesh!And then only bad witches are ugly --- come on now! Its the Merry Old Land of Oz! I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore Toto. . . .

My project is digital layout covering my grandson's 3rd Birthday ! My grandson was the scarecrow kinda cute don't you think. Well his birthday is Nov 4th so they decided to make it a costume party. I created a Digital Layout for my project today. My daughter loved that song when she was little and sang it all the time. The picture on the upper left is of her sitting on the arm of her grandmother's easy chair singing along with Debbie Boone on the stereo. As you can see she was very serious about her singing!! She was the light of my life back then and has grown into a fabulously talented, beautiful intelligent strong woman and mother. I now have 3 more shining stars to light up my life because of her.I hope you enjoy my presentation and would love to hear what or who lights up your life!

Today's project is a Valentines day card This is a fun card, I hope you enjoy it!

Card base is Studio G pre-made card.
Red and white mats are from my stash of card stock
Patterned paper is Studio G Valentine pack
The image is from "Create With TLC" and was one of many great images from her February Club
I used Creative Memories " Love Struck Maker" for the heart border.
Embossed the white strip with Tim Holtz Textured Fades "Springtime Background and Border Set" embossing folder.
Added some red and white twine and 3 different size pink glitter hearts punched with the love struck maker punch.

I wrapped Hershey Chocolate bars in valentine paper from Studio G from Walmart1

The Image is a digi stamp "Tweet Hearts" from SST's valentine collection colored with Bic Mark-It markers on white card stock. The border was done with an EK Success punch added some satin ribbon to finish it up. The Sentiment is an acrylic stamp from my collection.

I have 3 grandchildren so I created 3, each a different color of birds Hope you like my creation and come back tomorrow for another fun project!

SST Color Challenge for Feb

Welcome to SST Color Challenge for Feb. T he challenge was to create a project using one of February's new release digi stamps and the colors Blue and Yellow. For my project I used the digi "Tilly and Kitty" and created a Friendship card.

The card base is Recollections blue card stock (4.25 x 5.5) .
the yellow mat is paper from my growing collection of scraps (4 x5.25)the patterned paper is Heidi Grace double sided card stock cut at 3 7/8 x 4 7/8 then cut in half length wise and then cut in half again to create 4 rectangles flipped two over to use the blue side on opposite corners.
Tilly was printed on white card stock, colored with Bic Mark-It markers and a Letraset Blender and randomly stamped with tiny hearts in blue around the image. cut at 2 x 3 1/2 and rounded the corners with 1/4 inch rounder matted her on a blue piece of card stock ( same as the card base ) 2.25 x 3.75 rounded the corners and faux stitched with white gel pen. finished off with pale yellow satin ribbon.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time "Happy Mail" stamp set.

SST DT Valentine Project

Hello My crafty friends. Today is the start of Sweet Stampin Treats new DT term, so welcome to the new DT members. We were asked to create a Valentine project. I am into boxes of late so I thought I'd make a treat box using one of the stamps to decorate the top!

The digi stamp is called "Love You Frames". I colored it with "BIC MARK-IT markers and a couple Letraset ones. Used Cuttlebug "Organic Flourishes" embossing borders around the stamp to frame it the matted it on a dark cranberry colored card stock before putting it on top the box cover added glitter glue and stickles to make it twinkle a little.The card stock for the box is Recollections from Michael's last years valentine collection, it measures 3.5 x3.75 ans is 2.5 inches tall the lid is 1.5 inches tall before the edge was punches with an EK Success scalloped edge punch. added a pink ribbon tied in a bow and done

To celebrate Lynne' Birthday I created A cute little card in the shape of a teapot " What is a tea party with out a tea pot!!!"

The patterned paper is from a digital file "DP040 {In Wonderland} Digital Scrapbook Papers by JazzyPatterns" the tea pot is from A Childs Year Cricut cartridge and is a tag cut I just made it into a card. I printed the title on white card stock using a font called 'Alice in Wonderland couldn't resist.the mat shape is from CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.I added a few dots with silver Liquid Pearls in the centers of some of the flowers. This was actuelly a second project My real one is an Explosion Box and so here it is:

Welcome to the "Picture it perfect 'Blog hop. If you arrived here from Angie's Blog then you are headed in the right direction. However if you just happened along my post and would like to start at the top then you will have to head on over to our Hostess Gill's Blog to start at the beginning.
Our challenge was to create a card using a photograph or a picture from a magazine or any other picture we wanted.Sounded easy enough! Right. Well I found it way more difficult to do. after deciding on my picture it took me "forever" to put my project together. This is the picture I chose for my card

I don't recall where I got this picture from but I just love the colors and the refection in the water, and here is the card I created!

The base is craft card stock 5.5 x4.25 the pattern paper is from my scraps pile I cut a scalloped oval with a large Sizzix Framelits Die

the ribbon is from Joann's the maple leaves were punched with a leaf punch from Creative memories and distressed a bit to give them a little dimension.The sentiment was stamped with tuxedo Black ink with an stamp from one of My Creative Time stamp sets.Glue dotted a couple little green buttons and drew a line one the card stock with a red gel pen around the

patterned paper.

Sweet Stamping Treats January DT Choice Project

I chose the Digi Stamp Tweet's Sports Car. I wanted to create a fun Birthday card and this is what I came up with.

The card base is from Recollections White card stock All the rest is from my stash. The digi stamp was printed on Staples 110 lb White card stock and colored with Bic Mark-it markers. The red and white check paper is a digital paper I downloaded and printed called Little Piggy but I can't remember from where!
T sentiment was typed into word and printed then cut wit a dye from My Creative Time.

So without further ado lets get the party started. The only requirement I made for this party was that everyone had to put a butterfly or butterflies in their creation.

For my creation I made an Anniversary card for an anniversary celebration!

I love butterflies but my all time favorite is the Monarch and I love how my card turned out

I used the Picturesque Cricut Cartridge for this butterfly and cut her from black and orange card stock at different sizes ( I cut 5 but only used 3 the largest and the 2 smallest) starting at 1.5 in, 1.35, 1.25, 1.10, and 1.00 in. using my gypsy
The oval mat was cut from a Scalloped Oval Sizzix Framelits with the Cuttlebug and embossed with a cuttlebug folder called Brickyard. I inked the edges first with silver then black,I used some thin popdots to place the mat and then gave the butterflies some demention by folding back their wings stightly and sticking them down withsmall glue dots. I also litely inked around the butterflies with the silver ink I used a standard 5.5 x4.25 card base in white an orange mat 1/8th of an inch smaller a black mat 1/8 in smaller than the orange and a patterned paper( from where I don't recall but love it!) an 1/8th of an in smaller than the black mat. Added a small grey satin ribbon bow and the sentiment which is from My Creative Time Stamp set "Gift Card Sentiments in black ink.

For my card I printed the image so it measured approximately 3 inches across, colored it with Bic Mark-it pens used some white stickles and silver liquid pearls to give it some bling cut it out pierced hols in the scalloped edge for a lacy effect. I went through my hugs stash of 'scrap' paper and pulled out some fun colorful prints and solids inked all the edges with light brown chalk ink added some satin ribbon pink rhinestone hearts and stamped it with an acrylic ($1) stamp by "G" studios and we are done!!

For the hop today, I've created a Digital layout. I entered the 70's in my early 20's, I enjoyed the music of the Captain and Teneal, Bruce Springstein. and The Carpenters. More of a traditionalist in life style I spent the early part of the 70's as a Nurse in the Air Force ( my way of a positive approach to a bad situation re the Vietnam War), Met my husband and got married (73) Moved to Alaska (74) had my daughter (75) and moved from Alaska to Florida (78). Very normal traditional stuff. Most of my picture of those years are on Slides and not readily available to print ( something I need to rectify) so I went with what I had. ergo a layout of a wedding photo. History In My Time Blog Hop

Hi!! Glad you could stop by and join us as we take a stroll through the last 50 years or so of History!
It should prove very exciting and interesting so grab a cup of your favorite beverage and lets get strolling.

Each of us has chosen a historical or significant event from our life and created a project around that event.

I chose the "First Man To Walk on the Moon" as my historical event and created a Digital Layout of it.
I hope you like my presentation.

To create this Layout I used "Creative Memories Storybook Creator 4.0" all the papers and mats are from digital files from CM. I got the photos and the information from Wikipedia.com. I really enjoyed putting this presentation together I can still remember where I was when the news came and how I felt. It still gives me goosebumps when I think about what was accomplished then and since.

Love Bugs Banner for Kids Blog Hop

For my "Love Bugs Banner" I chose to use a ladybug theme and the word Hugs. I really love how it turned out I only wish I had better pictures to share.

I will have to apologize before I start my description I am very bad at writing down my measurements so these are approximates
I used the imagine to cute the hearts It ha the shapes as part of its software. I believe they were cut at 4.5 inches for the red and 4.2 inches for the white with black dots.
The red card stock is Recollections from last years valentine pack.
The white doted I printed on white card stock from a free file from Gina K Designs Stamp TV. Love her tutorials.
The Ladybug is from a free file from Digi My World . She has some really great designs both free and for sale. The lady bug was printed on white card stock so it measured 2 inches for the larger ones and 1 inches for the smaller.
The green and blue paper were also printed from a free digital paper file I got
from My Grafico Digital Arts and Crafts Store. They have tons of fun stuff both free and for sale! I used the green cut at 1.5 inches by 11 for the rossett edged with EK Success punch The blue circle were cut at 1 inch from the imagine scalloped circle,
The letters were cut at 2.5 inches from Ashlyn's Alphabet and the shadow in black.

Guest Designer Spot at "Susana's Scrappin Corner"

Hello everyone, I am so excited to be filling in this Guest Designer Spot on Susan's Blog!

Susan and I have become friends over the past few months and I enjoy her work and working with her on projects. I recently purchased the Cricut cartridge "Tis The Season" a Creative Memories exclusive and after the first cut fell in love with it. It has been my go to cartridge for this holiday season. I used it to decorate some plain white sacks I purchased at Michael's. Every year I give the nurses I work with a "treat" bag filled with the things we use and loose the most at work along with a gift in a jar treat. I enjoy decorating the bags and so today's project is a peak at the bags I created this year I created 5 different designs this year four of which are featured here. All the cuts were from the "Tis the Season" cartridge and are super simple to put together. Most of the card stock is Recollections from Michael's and the patterned paper is from my enormous collection of paper. ( I am a paperholic)

The gift tags were also created with a Creative Memories punch. This punch comes in handy when you need a quick tag! ( If you'd like to learn more about these products go visit Susan's Blog)

THEME: NEW

Since we will be heading into the New Year, I would like to see projects that include something "new". It can be a New Year's project, new baby, new car, new job....get the idea?

Here is my project I have always wanted to do an explosion box but never had the courage to try it. Since the theme of this hop is something NEW I decided to try creating one. The basic form is fairly simple to master it's all the details that are the real challenge! Here is what I came up with (It is a work in progress)

I used mostly paper and card stock from my growing stash of paper pieces. The main colors are red Black and white with a little silver in the image cut. The image was cut from the cricut lite " Celebrate with a Flourish" cartridge. I cut the box at 8 1/2 inch square and scored it at 2 3/4Not too bad for my first try!

Today I created a little decorating project! I used my Imagine and the Snow Angel cartridge to print and cut the images, They were printed on a product called "Square 1", it is like vinyl but it can be repositioned and reused. I like that it can be removed and reused. Here is what I made with it

and the sentiment from a set from CTMH Called "Winter". the off white mat behind the ornament cut was embossed with a snowflake folder as well.

For today's project I made some treat containers for a Christmas Party at work. This is about half of what I need,. These are so cute and very easy to create, great when you have to mass produce something!

The patterned paper is from Recollections, the circles were from a sleeve of pre-cut circles Stamped with "My Creative Time" with Emma called "All Around Christmas" Used Tim Holtz "Winter Distress" Ranger ink pads limited edition for this year added a little red or green twine and they are finished or nearly finished still have to make a few more! filled them with Hershey's Kisses Yummy, but you can use most any thing you like.

For today's project I made a gift card holder. Every Christmas I give the CNA I work with a little goody bag and in it I include a WalMart gift card. Just to say thank you for all their hard work and to let them know I appreciate everything they do. This is what I came up with;

I used my newest fav cartridge "Tis The Season" a Creative Memories exclusive.

I wanted to show how simple they are to create just 4 cuts these were cut at 2 inches.

My project for today's is a Christmas card I matches a treat box i made recently I love how it turned out!

To ingredients for this project are a 5.25 x 4.5 blank white card as the base,
next layer is a 5 x4.25 piece of red card stock on top of that is a 4.75x 4 piece if green card stock and topping that is a 4.5 x3.75 piece of striped pattern paper .

The shaped mat was cut from gypsy wanderings Decor tag feature at 3x3 and 2.75x2.75 approximately. The the stamp is from a cling stamp set by Recollections ( new this year) stamped in red on the white. Ehe shaped mat is popped up with one layer of pop dots.

The sentiment from Pink by Design is stamped om a 1x 4.25 strip of white layered with a .5x4.5 strip of red card stock edged with a EK Success border punched topped off with a .25in off white satin ribbon bow. added 3 Ranger liquid peal (Rouge)dots and done.

Today's project is a Decorating project, In October I decorated this for Halloween and thought why not do the same for Christmas

I used 2.5 inch strips of dark green textured card stock and punched both edges with Martha Stewart's Holly leaves border punch. I then punched trips of off white card stock with MS Eyelet Lace Deep Edge Punch and threaded sheer red ribbon through it. I used my new favorite cartridge for the holidays "Tis The Season" from Creative Memories for the letters. used the monogram shift key and cut at approximately 2 inches layering the pieces (cut from the same card stock just adding a dark red for the framing. Used Swiss dots to emboss the off white layer used a pop dot to attach it to the band wrapped around the candle, Quick easy and inexpensive!

For my project today have crafted a gift bag .

This is one of about a dozen bags I will be making to give to nursing staff on my unit. I usually fill them with a gift in a jar and pens , hand sanitizer markers and other little goodies!
I purchased the plain bags at Michael's. The patterned paper is Studio G from Walmart The Snowman head was cut at 5 inches from my newest favorite cartridge "Tis The Season" by Creative Memories It is loaded with great images. The card stock is mostly Recollection from Michael's. The tag was cut with a Creative Memories tag pinch layers with a small piece of white which was stamped twice once with MS Aqua ink and the the sentiment in black ink . I used a corner punch om the patterned paper and inked the edges in Aqua, popped up the snowman image and added a few punched snowflakes

My project for today is a rather unique take on an Advent Calender.

The Folded Stars were created with 6X6 Squares of Recollection's card stock in 5 colors. the embellishing was done with gold and silver metallic paper and red green and white Recollection "Lumiere" paper.the corner triangles were embossed with sizzix Frost folder.Each star when opened reveals either a word or a sentiment relating to Christmas.These were taken from "Mixed Holiday Sentiment" by My Creative Time, "Christmas Wishes" by Pink by Design."Winter Wishes" by K.Andrews and "Christmas Words" by Hot off the Press. The numbers were printed om my computer and cut with the stitched circle die from My Creative Time 's "Build a Banner Kit". The snowflakes were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

Today's project is a card I made for a swap earlier this month, I used my Gypsy to design it.

I used a traditional Christmas color pallet the card stock is from Recollections the green mat is a piece of scrapbook paper I had in my stash.

The images were cut from the "Winter Woodland" Cartridge the bird at 3 inches and the oval frame at

5.2 inches. the cardinal was embossed with Devine Swirls embossing folder and outlined with red stickles, The frame was embossed with a Sizzix folder called frost I used some Martha Stewart very fine glitter on the mat as well. The sentiment was from K Andrews " Winter Wishes" set. I finished it off with a Double loop bow in red sheer ribbon from the Dollar Tree Store.

Sweet Stamping Treats "tags Bags or Boxes" DT Project and a CHALLENGE!!

Good Morning everyone! Well here we are in the rush of the Christmas season and I am very late with my post for this project. I am going to contribute it to CRS disease. The DT for Sweet Stamping Treats was challenged to create a project using a set of digi tags ( they are very nice tags and were a freebie with the new release on Saturday you should check it out) I colored two of the tags two weeks ago and then spent the next two weeks trying to decide how to display them (and missed the deadline) Any way to finish my rant I cut two boxes from the Art Philosophy cartridge stamped one randomly and attached my tags Hop you like my presentation!

"Christmas Cards & Cookies Blog Hop"

There was so much response to the Christmas Cards & Cookies Blog Hop that it had to be split between two weekends. This is Round One and begins Saturday, Dec. 3rd, continuing through Sunday, Dec. 4th. Round Two will be held next weekend. We have a talented group of women who love paper crafting and baking. Each of them is sharing a recipe for a yummy Christmas treat along with a Christmas card or tag. Hopefully, you’ll pick up some great ideas for your own Christmas gift giving this season. So, grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy!

The treat that I chose to share with you all today is Zucchini Bread. The recipe was given to me by my mother-in-law where she got it I don't know. It has become a all time family favorite. I usually bake at least a 1/2 dozen every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas. to share with family and friends. This one is slated for my youngest sister Her birthday is Mondayand she loves Zucchini Bread.

I've included a picture of the original recipe in my mother-in-law.s handwriting and as you can see it is well worn and barely able to read it.

This is a copy I made a few years ago and keep it in a plastic page protector.

And here it is all wrapped up and ready to give to my sister.

The tag was quite easy to make I used My Creative Time's X-tars Large label die and the coordinating boarder stamp and the sentiment stamp as well. The red ink is studio G and the cardinal image is from Inkadinkabo. A little cellophane to wrap it and a piece of red satin ribbon to finish it off!

Just a little FYI for those who would like to try this It says bake for 1 hour but it usually takes longer maybe 15 min or so.

Sweet Stamping Treats Design Team Christmas Project

Hi everyone welcome to the "SST" Design Team Christmas Project !

For my project I created a Christmas card with this adorable digi stamp from "SST" called

Kitty Stocking. My Sister-in-law had a cat very much like this little furry guy.

The card stock is from The Paper Company called Christmas Fun. the patterned paper is

Christmas Script by Colorbok

The image was colored using Bic Mar-kits markers. The faux stitching was created with My Creative times stamp set " Gift Card Sentiments" and some MS "Wassabi" green ink, and the red ribbon was from the dollar store.

For my project I decided to enlarge the image and create a Holiday Picture.

The frame is 12x 12 perfect I love the background paper it is iridescence and is from a stack I purchased at Tuesday Morning's / I used a piece of gold card stock to mat my image on and stamped a greeting from an Inkadinkado acrylic set I have.

The coloring was done with prisma and bic mark-it pens. I also added a little yellow and white lace stickles to the flowers and berries.

This is my second attempt at a Digital Layout. I decided to use pictures from last Thanksgiving. It was my newest grandsons first Thanksgiving.
The software is from Creative Memories called "StoryBook Creator" 4.0 the paper and elements are from two digital collection from CM "Vintage digital Power Palette for the paper and the embellishments from the "Jewel Autumn Digital PP Additions"

Now onto my project - For today's hop I created my "FIRST" ever digital layout. These pictures are of my grandson at age 5. He is a natural don't you think?

I used Creative Memories "StoryBook Creator" 4.0
for this layout. The blue background paper is from Design House Digital Vanity Fair Persimmon Papers by Jen Allison. I used an image filter from the program for the gay mat with stars and I framed all the pictures with the framing function. The banner is from a freebie I found on on the Creative Memories site. The Font was from my computer.

Sweet Stamping Treats Sketch Challenge

Welcome to the Sweet Stamping Treates November Release Sketch Challenge! The members of the Design Team were asked to create a project based on 1 of 2 sketches provided and using one of the November digi stamps released. For my project I created a carf based on the folowing sketch

I used the digi stamp called "Xmas Elf " for my card.

I had so much funn creating this card, I love that little elf isn't he just tooo cute for words!

I colored the image with Bic Mark-it markers and Letraset Promarkers

The sentiment is from an Inkadinkado acrylic Stamp set

The paper is Recollection Printed Scrapbook Paper

White card stock from my stash as wellas a few buttons from my stash!

I'm so honored I get to be a part of this hop with a group of fabulous ladies who never cease to amaze me!

"Sweet Stamping Treats Design Team Glitter Challenge"

Hello and welcome to Sweet Stamping Treats Design Team Glitter Challenge! For today's project the Design Team was asked to use glitter on our project. I fell in love with this 'jack-o-lantern' digi stamp from
SST and saw many great glitter opportunities. I used "Bic Mark-It" markers to color the digi stamp and added glitter in the form of Stickles and Studio G glitter glue. This is a picture of Puss my youngest sister's cat, She found him in a dump when he was just a kitten and took him home with her. He was pretty much a one person cat, he would run and hide when anyone would come to visit.

Last Mother's Day I made cards for all my sister ans other assorted relatives. My sister was (kidding) disappointed she didn't get a card like everyone else (she was single and had no children) She very eagerly point out that she was most certainly a mother to Puss! So I made her this card!

I used the Cricut Lite cartridge "Four Legged Friend" To make this card The paper was from my ever growing stash, I used an EK Success punch for the border along the green strip, a little bling and we are done, She loved it as much as I loved making it!

Sweet Stamping Treats Dollar Digi Sale!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the SST's " $1 Digi Stamp Sale" This stamp will be available at this price for the next 30 days,

Here is my project created with this stamp.

It is a Hot Chocolate Slider Gift. It is very easy to create and the stamp fit it perfectly.

I used Prisma and Bic Mark-it Marker to color the stamp

All the paper were from my stash I love treat patterned paper.

The scalloped circle was cut on my cricut E2 with Accents Essentials.

I cut the image out on the E2 as well using the center point feature.

The sentiment was printed on my computer then punched with a Creative Memories circle punch and the scalloped circle was a smaller version of the other one.

A little pink satin ribbon and some white gel pen doodling and VOILA!!

This is My first time making this holder but it won"t be my last. Here is a video I used to learn to do this.

For the hop today, I've created Some Halloween Treat boxes. My grand daughter saw the coffin box and asked if I could make her some for her class mates for their Halloween party of course I immediately said yes and how many did she need "Oh about 20" OK no big deal. My grand son saw what I was doing and he wanted some too he decided to use headstone boxes to be different and how many do you need "Oh about 20" So I have created 40 treat boxes Here are Pictures of some of them:

For my project I created this card using the squirrel stamp from the new release!

Isn't this the cutest image ever? I colored it with Prisma Markers cut the image out and popped it up with foam tape. All the card stock is from my stash the scalloped circle is from My Creative TIme and the top edge punched with a new Fiskar edge punch.

I was honored with this opportunity to create something special for the Link Up For Pink Event! Thanks you to Lynne of Here Craftiness for helping to get these project up and posted. Big hugs to you my blogger friend!
I have lost over half of my immediate family to cancer over the course of 15 years as well as a very dear friend. My Mother age 67, my Father age 77, my younger Sister age 45, and my younger Brother age 54 all diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away within a year of that diagnoses. My dear friend Sandy was also diagnosed with both breast and lung cancer and did not survive even 6 months. I and my two sisters live with the thought that our turn could be next.

I created this cute card to honor all those who Fight this devastating disease and to pay tribute to those who conquer and those who are taken from us. Early detection is important to increasing survival so be sure to get your mammograms and physicals every year!

Base is White card stock. 5.5 x4.25

Apiece of pink ribbon glossy accents and Prisma color pens to color the copy of the bird and popped it for a little dimension, and a little pink bling!

Sweet Stamping Treats Halloween Challenge

My first project as a Design Team Member for Sweet Stamping Treats I chose this cat DIGI from their Fall / Halloween collection. I'm a great lover of cats. This little guy is too cute I printed him on white card stock and colored it with colored pencils ( I'm just learning to use markers) Coloring a black cat so you can see him is quite a challenge in itself. I cut oval mats embossed one uses some Halloween word card stock layered on a black mat and the card base is orange.

For My "Spooky project I did a little home decor item quite simple but fun!. Hope you like it

This piece usually sits on my mantel over the fireplace, the lighting in there is really poor so I moved it to my craft room to get a decent picture.

Birthday Banner!!

This past Sunday we celebrated my grandson's 1st Birthday. He is a cutie pie, I created a banner to go along with the farm animal theme & his fav words are Quack and Moo!)

Sweet Stamping Treats' Fall Design Team

Hi everyone! I am so thrilled to be a part of this awesome Design Team. This is my first experience as a Design Team member, boy am I ever nervous! I am a long time crafter and have dabbled in many crafts over the years. At the age of 9 0r 10 I taught myself to knit from a library book using pieces I broke off a metal coat hanger and a hank of yarn from my grandmothers stash. I crochet and sew Painted Gold pans for spending money when I lived in Alaska. My daughter introduced me to scrapping the modern way, and my dear sister-in-law rekindled an interest in card making, and stamping. My current venture in paper crafting started a little over a year ago and has blossomed into a true passion for the craft. I love to try new things and with paper the possibilities are limitless.

I am married for nearly 40 years my husband doesn’t get my love of paper. I have one exceptionally beautiful and talented daughter, three awesome grand kids ( they keep me busy in the paper crafting department)a dog and a cat. I am a nurse by profession and work full time on an Alzheimer and Dementia unit. Paper crafting has become my therapy. I would love for you stopped by my blog and have a look around.

I used the same cardstock and paper as yesterday added a few pearls and a ribbon.

For today's project I present a Layout of my Grandaughter. She is a little Princess!!!

I used an assortment of card stock and paper from my stash
The Frame was cut from Sophisticated cart I sized it using my Gypsy/
The stars came from Wall Decor and More cartridge
I used Art Philosophy cartridge for the mat the sentiment were printed on white card stock before cutting.
The edge punch is from Martha Stewart.

My Second Guest Designer Spot !!!

Hello everyone, I am thrilled and honored to be Sue’s ( of Susana's Scrappin Corner) Guest Designer today. My first foray into card making was over 35 years ago when my daughter was a baby, I had no money and a stack of construction paper and a copy of a McCall’s Craft Magazine for that winter season. The patterns were called “Scherenschnitte” a Scandinavian technique. They were very intricate, delicate and beautiful. They also took a very long time to craft. Card making went on the back burner for many years and then along came my computer and graphic program and my interest was renewed for a brief time. A few more years passed and I started receiving hand made cards from my dear sister-in-law and a new interest was born. Enter my cricut. a bit of a learning curve, the internet and here we are!

My project for today is a “Folded Star Card”. I came across this card

My biggest challenges in creating this card were getting the measurements accurate and embellishing. I am not big on bling and tend to be very conservative ( less is more philosophy) I worry about over doing it. Over all I like how it turned out. I am going to try it in different sizes and play with the design a bit more.

My Creative Time stamp sets ” Many Greetings” and ” Mom you rock” for the sentiment.
Cream colored 12 x 12 card stock
2 coordinating sheets of pattern paper
8.5 x 11 off white card stock
Scraps of black, gold and burnt orange card stock.
Memento black ink and gold stickles

Dog Gone Fun Blog Hop

Dog Gone Fun Blog Hop (Day One)

This is a hop to celebrate our canine friends, those wonderful companions who love us no matter what!

I am 64 years young and have had a dog and or cat as part of my family all my life. I have had mutts , dogs and cats from the pound strays that followed me home and decided to stay and the occasional pedigree. I would be lost without my four legged friends.

This is a picture of Max my cocker spaniel when he was just a couple months old He is now about 8 yo a bit bigger and lots more fur but still a cutie. Next is a pic of his best friend Gator!

Like I said dogs and cats are family!!
