Christmas In July Day 2 Treats and Favors

HI everyone today is Day 2 of our Celebration Of Christmas.  If you just happened to come across my post that is great. After you finish here you will want to go to Giselle's Blog for a chance at winning today's special treat ssponsored by My Pink Stamper!
The theme for today's project is Treats and Favors and here is what I made:

This is my treat box filled with Peppermint Soft Mint candy,
The box is Recollections card stock cut from the "Cricut Everyday" cartridge with the tabs cut off.
The ornament square is from a 12x12 scrapbook page titled "Christmas Balls" by Paper Adventure.
I cut a 3 inch wide strip of white card stock Embossed it with the Cuttlebug "Holly Ribbons Folder" used Anna Griffin Holly edge punch along both edges.
Scored it lightly to go around the corners of the box.
The Ribbon was from some I had in my stash.
I'm not a big "Bling" person but I added a few pearls in the corners of the Ornament cut out.
Fairly simple project.
Hope you like it.
" I will be giving away a PC " Your Story to one lucky winner. I am participating in 5 of the 7 days of celebration and will pick a winner from those who comment on my posts "HERE" on my blog for those five events ( 5 chances to win) I'd love for you to follow me but it isn't mandatory to win. Now for today's project "Christmas Card Monday"
I wanted to make a shape card and I chose this image from the Cricut essentials cartridge (exclusive to the E2) I had to use the Cricut Craft room to weld it because it isn't linked to my Gypsy.
I used recollections CS for most of the cuts. The card when folded is 5 x 6 the white mat measures approximately 4,75 x 5.75 and was embossed with the "Holly Ribbons" folder. The Partridge in a pear tree was cut from "Joys of the season" at 2,25 x3.5. I cut all the layers the shadow is dark green, The blackout is brown, the base is a brighter green and the layer is a mustard yellow, added a 1 inch red strip punched along both edges wit an Anna Griffin boarder punch. The sentiment was from my collection of stamps, the shape for this was also from"Cricut Essentials" cut at approx 1 x 2 in white and framed with green shape cut slightly larger. Added some white doodling on both red pieces and a green bow to top it off. Both the sentiment and the partridge were on pop dots.
Hope you enjoy every ones projects

My First Guest Designer Spot!!!

Hi all I am so excited I won a ( my first ever) guest designer spot on Amber's Crafts and Stuff a couple weeks back. Here is my project:
I needed to include embossing ( any type ) on the card. The patterned and black paper was from a Colorbok stack from Walmart. I am hooked on square cards lately the white base id 5 1/2 in square out of Recollection Cardstock as is the white embossed piece.  The mats were cut from George and Basic Shapes
at 5 1/4 and 5 inches. the embossed center was from Accent Essentials cut at 3 1/4 and 3 inches and embossed with the Victoria folder. The "Mr & Mrs" was from the Sweet hearts cartridge cut at 1.65 along with its shadow and embossed it with the Swiss Dots folder (it's not very visible in the photo) I added some ribbon ( check out this link for the how to My Creative Time With Emma she has a video on how to do the ribbon. I added a little bling and some doodling.
Hope you enjoy my creation

Now for my project. I chose to create a card using the Cricut Lite “Savory” cartridge. My inspiration came from the background pattern paper. It came from a stack called “Raspberry Cordial” . I just love the colors and the pattern.
.

To make this card I used Recollections Cream Card stock
Recollections textured Card stock for the red.
All the cuts were made from my stash which is a collection
of Lots of different papers.
The card is 5 ½ x 4 ¼
The red mat was cut at 5 ¼ x 4
The patterned mat is 5 x3 ¾
The Pitcher and glass were manipulated with my Gypsy
And cut just under 3 inches
I uses an EK success punch on the red strip
added a piece of fun ribbon from Michael’s Dollar bin .
The sentiment I found on the internet and printed it out
Using “Curls MT” font at 16 points onto a white mat cut with
the Lite “Lacy Labels “ cartridge at 2 ¾ x ¾
I did a little inking with memento chocolate and
studio G Raspberry, doodled a little with a black gel pen.

Now the really important part my piece of the puzzle is the letter “A”.

Don’t forget to visit all the blogs and collect the letters to so you can be eligible for the Blog Candy!

Baby Boy Scrapbook Layouts.

One final post before I go to bed. A couple weeks ago I came across a request for some Layouts for a scrapbook being created for a family whose baby ( 8 mths old) was very ill. Some of you may have seen it posted on FB. I agreed to do a couple pages and I thought I'd share them with you.

Thanks for stopping by. Would love to hear your comments!

Party Banner and Favor boxes

I am submitting this to Decorate To Celebrate Blog . This isn't for a Birthday Party but I hope you will enjoy it anyway.
I've been MIA for a while. Been busy Planning and creating with my daughter for my husbands surprise
retirement party. I'm going to post a few pics for you to see'
This is the banner  as you can see golfing is his favorite pastime. I have a couple close ups of it for you to see,

I used Recollection card stock in green, red and blue jewel tones The green flag, red shield and letters were all embossed with different embosing folders;. The gold shield and golf club (fathers day cart) were cut from recollections metalic card stock. The ribbon I found at the last minute in Michael's dollar bin.
I used "Nate's ABC's" for the letters." Lovely Floral" for the banner cut at 2 different sizes, and "Sports Mania" for the golf bag and sentiment. I was very pleased at how it turned out.
The next pic is of the favor boxes with some of the items that were included in them. They were cut from the same card stock as the banner. The box was from everyday cricut and the embellishments were from Sports Mania
This last post is a card that my grand daughter made for her "poppop" I helped her to cut it out but she put it together. She did an excellent job.

Finally a couple pic from the party!

Hope you enjoyed my little presentation!

Graduation and achievement!! and PKS LFIF Challenge

Good Morning everyone! Hope you all had an awesome weekend. Got a couple cards to share. The first is for my grandson who has graduated preschool and is on to the real thing in August. I used the graduation cart and actually cut the layer twice the first was with all the facial cuts ( not very pretty so using my gypsy and taking out the facial features and replaced them with a PKS stamp image from the Winter Assortment, much better look.

The second is a card for my grand daughter who finished the year with straight A's  Of course she was given an incentive (aka bribe) to work for.  My daughter promised her a trip up to MA to visit family and a day in Boston. So now mom has to make good on her promise! Here is my card, I'll be adding a GC to Justice her favorite store.
Of course her fav colors are purple and pink
Hope you enjoy my newest creations. Love to read your comments!
