Spring Fling Blog Hop!

It's March and Spring is in the Air when a young man's fancy turns to fishing and a young girl's fancy turns to a new ward drobe!!! Ok, maybe not but there are so many things out that there to symbolize Spring Has Sprung ....

We have a talented group of crafters participating today to show their interpretation of SPRING . . . .

  1. Lynne ~ http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/
  2. Anita ~ http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com
  3. Miriam ~ http://miriamscreations.blogspot.com
  4. Janet ~ http://ladyluvbug.blogspot.com/
  5. Vicky ~ http://crafting-vicky.blogspot.ca/
  6. Edwina ~ http://edwinascreations.blogspot.com/

We have a fabulous sponsor:
Miriam's Crafting Supplies, https://www.facebook.com/MiriamsCraftingSupplies?fref=ts. She has super pearls, bling, and great additions for your crafting projects!

Now on to my project. I chose to create a 'digital' layout of what I most like to do in the spring and that is gardening. In Florida Spring is my favorite time the temperature is usually comfortable and just perfect for puttering around in the garden. Once summer hits FORGET IT I spend very little time out side so my gardening goes by-by and the weeds take over. In the winter I take care of the weeds and the cycle begins again!! LOL

I used My Memories software to create this page and the bulk of the paper and embellishment are from a free kit I got from Design House Digital for attending their hop this month. I believe the file is called
"Sweet As Spring".

Your next stop along the way is the fabulous Vicky who will be bring more spring fling your way!!!!!!

Hope you liked my layout and are enjoying our fun Spring hop1

 March 4th
is a day that we all can embrace. It's "Hug a GI Day". Give a great big hug to any and all GIs you see today. The men and women in our armed forces deserve our thanks and appreciation.

GI's perform an invaluable service to our country. They risk their lives for our freedom, and to keep us safe. A simple hug is a small thanks for this vital service to our country.

Your next stop along the way of the calendar is the awesomely talented Lisa. Thanks for stopping by and mark your calendar again next month to see what Holidays to Celebrate on April 13, 2013, for the next Calendar Girls Blog Hop!

Here's my project which I hope you enjoy
It's a TEA Party so I am providing a little tea in it's own cute little holder. I saw this idea quite a while ago and have been dying to make one. I love how it turned out.

The patterned paper and embellishments are from a digital file I got from Design House Digital called "Time for Tea" by Sara Schmutz. the plain card stock is from Michael's Recollection called "Preppy Beach"I used the pattern and overall design from a tutorial at Stamp ARTic. The back panel , the base and scalloped circle were cut on my cricut using Elegant Edges for the back piece, cricut Alphabet for the scalloped circle and Bloom for the base the ribbon is from my stash.

Now we can't have a Birthday party without a card so I created a matching card.

The papers are all from the same sources I cut the stacking tea cups at about 3 inches from the Disney Classic cartridge. Printed the sentiment using the Alice in Wonderland font I found on the net.

Happy Birthday Lynne Hope you like your tea holder and card. Big Hugs My friend!!

Thank you for stopping and enjoying a cup of tea and perhaps crumpets with me! Your next stop along the party hop is Jearise or just follow the March Hare and don't be late for a very important date!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you're enjoying our "MAD TEA PARTY"
