Another Special Occassion to Celebrate

This Sunday my sweet granddaughter will be making her First Communion and so I needed to make her a very special card to mark the day. As usual the original concept gave way to something a whole lot different.
I used the Lite Inspired Heart cartridge for the Praying figure the cross was layered from a cut on the Indie Art Cartridge. The card is 6x6 White card stock, Lavender is from my stash the patterned paper is from Creative Memories mat stack don't recall which one. I embossed the pattern paper and the two corners of the lite lavender paper with the Floral Screen cuttle bug folder. The sentiment was printed on a piece of vellum. That turned out to be  a challenge smeared a few before I got one that was clean.
In the end I like how it turned out.

April in a nutshell!

Hi my crafty friends been away for a while but busy. April is always a tough month, Tax time and I always wait for the last minute especially if I have to pay, LOL. Any how it was busy, family visiting from up north, baptism, Circle crop and lots of other stuff to keep me from my blog. Been visiting  on occasion and did a couple hops and of course creating stuff. So without further ado here is my stuff!
first for a Peachy Keen Challenge #50

I made this card for my daughter and son-in-law.
I attended the Florida circle crop and made 50 calling cards and 40 swaps.
This was my calling card not a true luvebug but cuter.

These contained flower seed packs. The theme of the crop was April Showers.
April 14 is my anniversary (38 years WOW) so I had to create a card for my other half. I love Owls

The sentiment was from My Creative Times stamp set I love the banner.
Finally all my Easter cards except for The 3 that I needed to send out and never photographed.

The first 2 are for my sisters made then with the Lite cartridge celebrate with a flourish Love that cartridge

These last three are for my grand kids. My first attempt at an easel card and all the figures are on wobbles Lots of fun for the kiddies.
Hope you all enjoy my STUFF I am working tonight so I must get ready . Thanks for stopping by and would love to hear what you think about my creations .

Pastel Layout

Today i finally completed a layout that I started last week. I is absolutely different from what I started with, the base paper and the pics ( of my fav subjects) are the same  all the other papers and cuts were not what I had envisioned. Go figure. I find pastels very difficult to work with. The base paper is from I have no clue just liked the butterfly patten. Thee pattern paper is from Creattive Memories and the pastel card stock is from my pile. I used Storybook to cut the title The green card stock under the title was embossed with a folder called checkerboard, wanted it to look like  basket weave. The other cuts were made with Gypsy wandering cartridge, Since I hate my handwriting I chose to print my journaling.

Hope you like it . All comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks for stopping by and looking around. Janet

Layout Challenge

For this challenge at Serenity Scrappers I chose one of my favorite subjects. Can you guest what that is? I just love this picture of my grand kids. The paper is from Making Memories "hul-la-ba-loo" pack, I just love the bright and fun papers and thought they went well with the picture. I used a MS heart border punch for the green strip and a 1/2 in and 1/4 corner punches for the photo and mats and the title mat.The title frame and sentiment frames were cut with the cricut using the Heritage cart and the Essential Accents cart. After numerous attempts to cute the title with my cricut I gave up and printed it on the computer. The sentiment is from a Fiskar set called Family.
