Happy Fall Y'All Blog Hoph

Welcome to Scrapping With Lisa Designs' DT Blog Hop.  Today we are celebrating all things fall.

For my project I used some of the elements from the Nuts 4 Fall ( click on the link to go to her store and see this and many other cute files for fall) file to decorate an acrylic picture frame found at the Dollar Store!

Details
Frame 5X7
Squirrel printed on white CS to fit a 4x5 piece of white CS Acorn on an8.5 x 11 CS
Brown, black and orange ink
Orange patterned paper and green CS
After printing and Fussy cutting the pieces I inked all the edges and assembled the pieces.
I have been having printer problems all week and my squirrel came out 2 shades of green instead of brown so the picture I was going to put in the frame remains un-printed.

Here is the line up for the Hop

Hip-Hippo-rah Birthday wish!!

For this weeks project I used Lisa's Hippo file to create a Birthday card.

I printed the PDF file on white Card stock and hand cut the pieces inked the edges first with grey then with black Pieced him Or Her together then glued it to a piece of black CS and cut around  leaving a narrow shadow. I love the background paper and only added a couple embellishments I created with some punches and stickles. The sentiment I typed on some yellow CS and cut to create the banner.
Check out Lisa's store at http://scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/ where you will find this and many other great files!

Sunflowers and Pumpkins Blog Hop

Its pumpkins and sunflowers time!!! What a great representative of fall. The Design Team's challenge this month was to choose a color - orange or yellow??? With that being said, they had no idea why they were even being asked what color had to do with their project ... hee hee!!! They then each got a file to think outside of the box with the color. HMMMM, guess its time for the reveal, huh???

Our wonderful Design Team for this hop consists of:

Lynne - http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/
Kimberly ~ http://scrappingrookie.blogspot.com
Lisa W.~ http://mycraftyspaces.blogspot.com
Lisa P ~ http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/
Janet ~ http://www.ladyluvbug.blogspot.com/

Edwina~ http://edwinascreations.blogspot.com/ keep me on the bottom. thank you.

My choice for color was Orange and I received a cute file to create a Pumpkin Shaped album Very cute album but of course we are to "think outside the Box" a little . I totally lost track of time and the hop was for tomorrow and I hadn't even started, had only a vague idea what to do. So I plunged in and printed the file(at 1/4 it's original size) on plain white CS and went from there. Here is my project a sort of gate fold card.

I traced the pieces onto some patterned CS by  Color Bok  and cut them out I then measured the size of the pumpkin and cut a piece of textured CS to double the width + a hair more and as tall as the pumpkin not including the stem.glued the inside one to the cs after scoring and folding the sided I then trimmed the base to the shape of the pumpkin.did the same with the front flaps. Inked all the edges with brown ink The inner sentiment mat was cut from the "Art Philosophy" cartridge twice once in brown and a second slightly smaller in off white. The leaf was done the same way traced and cut then backed with green CS and cut around the original put a paper twine bow on it added the sentiments and done, The sentiments are from
Pink By Design's "Bountiful Blessings" stamp set!

I hope you enjoyed our little hop for this month. With feature attractions, The Design Team will be asked to do a project with the "theme" "Come Sit a Spell" for October 16, 2012. So, with that being said, mark your calendars and plan to "sit a spell" to see how we think outside of the chair for next month.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my little project! Love to read your comments!
