Guest Designer spot on "Decorate To Celebrate"

Hello all my blogger friends, I am so excited to share this with you all. A couple weeks back I was asked if I would like to be a guest  designer on Rhonda and Amy's new blog "Decorate To Celebrate!" . I was excited to have the opportunity. The theme was BBQ and /or Block Party. This is what I came up with:

Most of the cuts were from the Cricut Lite Cartridge 'Block Party'. The paper for the solid colors is Recollections from Michael's, the red and white check is from a digital collection from Lettering Delights, The yellow patterned paper is from the Imagine Cartridge 'Kate's Kitchen'. I used my Gypsy to design and cut most of it.
I embossed the mitt with the Argyle embossing folder, Swiss dots for the letter and Hounds Tooth for the yellow ribbon (cut from Stand and Salute cartridge) Under the letters. Hope you like my creations.

Love to hear what you have to say!
Enjoy Life!

Crhistmas In July Day # 6 "Wrap It, Tag It"

Hi everyone and welcome to Day 6 of "Christmas in July Celebration". Can you believe it we've almost come to the end. Today's theme is titled "Wrap It, Tag It" For my project I created a tag, hope you like it.

This is my tag project.
It measures 2 3/4 by 5 7/8. Cut from dark red and dark green Recollection CS. the oval was cut in cream CS from "George and Basic Shapes"
at 3 1/2 x 2 1/4. Cut around the edge using scalloping scissors and inked it with moss green chalk ink. The stamped image was from a set by
Hot Off The Press called " Christmas Words" the Glitter is from Martha Stewart "Garnet. The red layer was inked in white (turned pink) using a corner flourish from my collection. topped it off with apiece of Christmas print satin ribbon. I like how this turned out even with the white ink turning pink.

Today's project is my final one for the Celebration. I hope you have enjoyed all my creations. Just to remind everyone I will be Picking the winner of the PC "Your Story" on Monday. If you would like to win please comment on all 5 of my  project posts here on my blog. That will give you 5 chances to win.

Christmas In July Day #5 "Handmade Gifts"

Welcome to Day 5 of  "Christmas In July Celebration". Today's theme is 'Handmade Gifts'.
This is my hand made gift project.  I actually made 2 .

Wanted to try my hand at glass etching, it is really pretty easy. On the coaster set there is a little floral image from "Joys of the Season"   in one corner on each coaster ( sadly it is barely visible) for the inserts in the place for a picture I stamped some tag images also from my collection) in Tuxedo Black ink on pieces of cream CS, Wish the etching showed up more. The second gift project are a couple of glass candle holder/ candy dishes. The etched images came from "Wall Decor And More" All were cut from black vinyl with a 'kiss' cut so I still have the positive image in black vinyl for future projects. I really enjoyed this project. Hope you like it as well.
Remember I am giving away a "Your Story" at the completion of this week long celebration. All it takes is a comment on my 5 projects posted here ( one more to come).
For some really awesome projects please stop by Giselle's Blog and see what the rest of the designers have prepared and enter to win some awesome blog candy there as well.
Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas In July Day 2 Treats and Favors

HI everyone today is Day 2 of our Celebration Of Christmas.  If you just happened to come across my post that is great. After you finish here you will want to go to Giselle's Blog for a chance at winning today's special treat ssponsored by My Pink Stamper!
The theme for today's project is Treats and Favors and here is what I made:

This is my treat box filled with Peppermint Soft Mint candy,
The box is Recollections card stock cut from the "Cricut Everyday" cartridge with the tabs cut off.
The ornament square is from a 12x12 scrapbook page titled "Christmas Balls" by Paper Adventure.
I cut a 3 inch wide strip of white card stock Embossed it with the Cuttlebug "Holly Ribbons Folder" used Anna Griffin Holly edge punch along both edges.
Scored it lightly to go around the corners of the box.
The Ribbon was from some I had in my stash.
I'm not a big "Bling" person but I added a few pearls in the corners of the Ornament cut out.
Fairly simple project.
Hope you like it.

Now for today's project "Christmas Card Monday"
I wanted to make a shape card and I chose this image from the Cricut essentials cartridge (exclusive to the E2) I had to use the Cricut Craft room to weld it because it isn't linked to my Gypsy.
I used recollections CS for most of the cuts. The card when folded is 5 x 6 the white mat measures approximately 4,75 x 5.75 and was embossed with the "Holly Ribbons" folder. The Partridge in a pear tree was cut from "Joys of the season" at 2,25 x3.5. I cut all the layers the shadow is dark green, The blackout is brown, the base is a brighter green and the layer is a mustard yellow, added a 1 inch red strip punched along both edges wit an Anna Griffin boarder punch. The sentiment was from my collection of stamps, the shape for this was also from"Cricut Essentials" cut at approx 1 x 2 in white and framed with green shape cut slightly larger. Added some white doodling on both red pieces and a green bow to top it off. Both the sentiment and the partridge were on pop dots.
Hope you enjoy every ones projects

My First Guest Designer Spot!!!

Hi all I am so excited I won a ( my first ever) guest designer spot on Amber's Crafts and Stuff a couple weeks back. Here is my project:
I needed to include embossing ( any type ) on the card. The patterned and black paper was from a Colorbok stack from Walmart. I am hooked on square cards lately the white base id 5 1/2 in square out of Recollection Cardstock as is the white embossed piece.  The mats were cut from George and Basic Shapes
at 5 1/4 and 5 inches. the embossed center was from Accent Essentials cut at 3 1/4 and 3 inches and embossed with the Victoria folder. The "Mr & Mrs" was from the Sweet hearts cartridge cut at 1.65 along with its shadow and embossed it with the Swiss Dots folder (it's not very visible in the photo) I added some ribbon ( check out this link for the how to My Creative Time With Emma she has a video on how to do the ribbon. I added a little bling and some doodling.
Hope you enjoy my creation
