Pinterest Inspired Christmas Card

My card for today was inspired from a card found on Pinterest created by stamping up north by Laurie.
The original appeared to have been cut using dies and the sentiment I believe was a stamp.
Here is a Photo of the original card,

Using My cricut Exp;ore I tried to recreate it and here is my version.

To create the sentiment I used the writing feature on the Explore and added a swirl to the begining and end of the word Christmas I also wanted the three trees to stand out a bit more  so I embossed them . There is very little waste with this card . and I can get 4 cards from one 8.5 x 11 piece of card stock. Love that idea.

Thanks for stopping by would love get your thoughts on my recreation.

Happy Veteran's Day!!

Today is Veterans Day and I am going to share a Layout I created using My Memories Suite software. I actually started this in Creative memories Storybook creator but lost access to it when my computer crashed earlier this year, so i attempted to recreate it.

It covers 3 generations of Service WWI , WWII and The Vietnam Era.

The background paper is from "Create With TLC" and the embellishments are from a digital scrapbook file "Proud To Be An American"

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day and celebrate those who have served our country in both times of war and peace!!

The Countdown Has Begun

It's time to start planning my Christmas cards, I don't want to find myself running around at the Eleventh hour wishing I had started earlier. I Luv, Luv, Luv the CTMH cricut cartridges and this years is a great one. It's called "Artfully Sent" and I got it from Melanie Brown . The sentiment is also from CTMH and is called "Frosted". This card is so simple to make it is scary, just 2 cuts and you have it! Can't get much simpler than that. I chose to use a pastel green glitter paper to back up the card front. and just to be safe, since glitter doesn't always stick well I cut a second piece of white card stock slightly larger than the glitter piece and sandwiched the glitter paper between the card front and this piece. I really love how this turned out.

Hope you enjoy my first Christmas card for 2014, I have more in the works!!
Thanks for stopping by and would love to hear what you think!!
