Melts in Your Mouth but Not in Your Hands Blog Hop

Welcome to Melts in Your Mouth but Not in Your Hands Blog Hop for not one but two beautiful ladies who are beautiful inside and out but have the love and joy of crafting. We are celebrating their birthday with a wonderful candy that is not only beautiful inside but outside and both sides are delicious!!!! What a better treat than to use M&M's for birthday wishes!!!! And, they are both turning 50, but shhhh don't spread the rumor as who would ever believe you after looking at their picture!

We have a super wonderful group of crafters to help wish not only Kimberly Pate but Rachelle Larsen a super very happy Birthday. Our hop begins with Kimberly Pate at http://scrappingrookie.blogspot.com in case you just happened to stop at my blog to visit me. Don't get me wrong, but since there is such a delicious hop, I wouldn't want you to miss a single stop along the way!!!!! If you have arrived from Belinda's  then you are following the empty bags of M&M's.
Before we get to my project Happy Birthday Wishes to Kimberly and Rachelle !!
For my Birthday project I decided to try something new for me. I should know better seriously embellishment challenged cut fingers on  both hands late by many hours but I persevered and finish two "Meandering Mini Albums" There are things I like about them and things I would do differently next time (if there is a next time LOL) So here they are

For Kimberly's I printed the M & M paper on white CS from a file I got from  Create with TLC Most of the other paper and ribbons are  from my stash the M&M Character image I found on the net. Please forgive my bow I am all thumbs at bows and now with 2 cut finger UGH!

The papers for this one were printed from a file I downloaded ( will have to look it up again ) as are the little tags . I printed the sentiment on white CS then used a couple dies from "My Creative Time to cut them out
The cutting and folding are pretty easy My challenge is in embellishing the pages

Here is the tutorial I used to create my Minis

Your next stop along the way is Lucy. I have included the complete line-up just in case you would happen to get lost along the way or at too many M&M's.

I Double Dog Dare You Summer Breeze Blog Hop

We have a new group to take crafting to a our limit which we are proudly calling I Double Dog Dare You. I am Double Dog Daring you for our first challenge which we are calling Summer Breeze. Ok, granted, I know the heat hats soared to new heights this summer in some areas but let's have some sweet thoughts of our "Happy Place". Now again, just as a reminder, the only limit to our wonderful creative group will be their creativity!

See the curtains hangin' in the window in the evenin' on a Friday night
A little light a-shinin' through the window lets me know everything is alright
Summer breeze makes me feel fine
blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze makes me feel fine
blowing through the jasmine in my mind
See the paper layin' on the sidewalk a little music from the house next door
So I walked on up to the doorstep through the screen and across the floor
Sweet days of summer the jasmine's in bloom
July is dressed up and playing her tune
And I come home from a hard day's work and you're waiting there not a care in the world
See the smile a-waitin' in the kitchen food cookin' and the plates for two
Feel the arms that reach out to hold me in the evening when the day is through
Summer Breeze Lyrics by Seals and Croft

We have a super creative group of ladies that are participating this month as this will be a monthly challenge where the players may change but the creativity is phenomenal:

Now, to showcase my creativity, I have for you today a Digital Layout of my sweet daughter at age 3 on the beach she went from being my little Eskimo (born in Alaska) to my little Beach Bunny!

For my project I used Creative Memories 'StoryBook Creator' software and a digital file from

I really love how it turned out. I am learning new tricks each time I do a Digital layout and enjoying the time I spend on them!!!

With all this being said, sadly, I must send you on your way to our next super crafty friend  Jenny . Summer breeze makes me feel fine; blowing through the jasmine in my mind

Scrapping With Lisa's Designs My BFF Blog Hop

I never had no one
I could count on
I've been let down so many times
I was tired of hurtin
'So tired of searchin
''Til you walked into my life
It was a feelin'
I'd never known
And for the first time I didn't feel alone
My Best Friend

We all have that special someone that we can share our most intimate secrets, fears, and accomplishments!

Today, Lisa's Design Team is going to be sharing their BFF file with you and why they chose that particular file. Hope you sit back and enjoy our BFF with your BFF.

Lisa has a fabulous Design Team to share with you today and please don't forget to stop at the Design Team blog, http://scrappingwithlisadesignsdt.blogspot.com/, page to leave a comment as Lisa is offering two (2) free files to a lucky winner that comments on the Design Team page and becomes a follower!!!!!

  6. Anita Cannon http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com

I chose to do a Layout for my project!
I used a picture of my Daughter and her BFF  ( I just love these girls ) They have been friends since Junior High and are as close as sisters ( my daughter is an only child and Susan  is the sister she never had) I watched then grow from awkward preteens into two beautiful, strong, intelligent, and talented women, and awesome mothers.

I used Lisa's BFF file printed the adobe version on 1/2 sheet of 8.5 x 11 white card stock, fussy cut the pieces and inked the edges with various colored Martha Stewart inks then glued them together. I used Peachy Keen Stamps "Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment" for their faced and white gel pen on the eyes and teeth. Added a little pink chalk to their cheeks I also printed the letters BFF out and fussy cut them as well. Inked the white edges with black ink.The gorgeous patterned paper is from a paper pack by ATD I was fortunate to get at Tuesday Mornings for a great price.
Hope you like my layout and the fun BFF image by Lisa, she has tons of great files and there is an awesome sale going on at her site as well, Now through the end of August you can get 55% off a $25 purchase just use the code summer at checkout.

For my project I printed the PDF file at 1/2 size fussy cut it inked the edges added an extra square with the Birthday greeting Printed on my computer and cut it to fit the center of the frame instead of a picture assembled the Elephant . The card is 5 1/2 in square orange card stock and the mat is 5 inch square digital paper from Scrape Girls "JWH Carnival Paper 2" I added circles punched from striped scrap of Graphic 45 paper added buttons with twine and used Pink By Design Sew Lovely Stamp set, TH distress Vintage Photo ink for the stitching. 4th of July Blog Hop

Welcome to our 4th of July Blog Hop! What comes to mind, when you think of the 4th of July? Being with family, barbecues, picnics, and fireworks? That's what comes to my mind. But, few know the actual reason we are celebrating this holiday. We know it has something to do with America, the flag, and independence. On July 4, 1776, United States of America declared its independence from Britain. So today is America’s Birthday! Happy Birthday, America!
For my project I made a little decorative piece This is a favorite candle holder that I have sitting (not at the moment) on my mantel the candles are white and very plain so for the holidays I like to spice them up with something cute and fun. I wrapped them with Graphic 45 "boardwalk paper cut at 21/2 inches wide and punched the edge with an EK Success scalloped punch I then cut stars from the Stand and Salute cartridge in red , white, and blue at 3 different sizes and layered them. The fun images are from
"Scrapping With Lisa Designs" I used her "4th of July Parade " set Printed the Adobe file fussy cut the images inked the edges a bit and popped dotted them to the stars. Boring candles to fun festive decoration!

Hope you enjoyed my project and if you like the images head on over to Lisa's store and see what else she has so many very cute images and many also come in digi stamp form as well.

The Answer My Friend Is Blowing In The Wind Blog Hop

Yes, how many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea ?
Yes, how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free ?
Yes, how many times can a man turn his head
Pretending he just doesn't see ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Today's craft challenge for Her Craft Kre8tions was to make something that "blows in the wind". Each design team member received beads, chimes, nightmare fishing line, a jingle bell, and a twirly thingie dooie (that's a technical term!). Everyone was encouraged to add things from their stash to make it their own and to go "green" without buying anything additional!!!!

With this all being said, everyone and the fishing line were not on "speaking terms". Lynne Kirsh had knots galore and would give up and pitch it and her one cat would return it expecting her either to throw again or finish ... your guess is as good as her's! Several never ever want to see fishing line again!!!!! Thus, the grand prize will be 100 yards of fishing line .... ha ha, just kidding!!!! It will be a surprise package to one lucky recipient that remarks on everyone's stop along the way!

Here is my completed wind chime I used many of the beads added some  sequin like butterflies and learned one very valuable lesson "I hate fishing Line "

For the top part I cut out and embossed and colored 3 butterflies from a piece of acetate from a cricut cartridge using my Cuttlebug and the Butterfly die and embossing folder Learned another valuable lesson you need to run the die through more than once and use a piece of card board shim to get the cut all the way through the acetate, embossing it was not a problem I used Martha Stewart ink pads to color them.

Hope you like my Wind Chime Love to read your comments!

The line-up is as follows:
