3 D Halloween

Welcome to I Double Dog Dare You. Each month there is a Double Dog Dare to create a project. This month, is no exception and everyone has been asked to create a Halloween creation that not only depicts Halloween but is a 3-D object.... do you dare to even create???? Let's see how Halloween speaks in a 3-D version ...

The hop begins with Lynne at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/. If you arrived at my blog by accident, don't get me wrong as I love you visiting me but I wouldn't want you to miss one single stop along the way!!!!! Here's the complete line-up just in case you would happen to get frightened and need to close your eyes.......

  1. Lynne Kirsch ~ http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/
  2. Kimberly Pate ~ http://scrappingrookie.blogspot.com/
  3. Lucy Kelleher ~ http://love2createitall.com
  4. Lisa Peters ~ http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/
  5. Anita Cannon    http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com
  6. Janet Smith ~ http://www.ladyluvbug.blogspot.com/

For my project today, I created a treat box using the Happy Haunting's Cricut Cartridge.

The paper for the coffin box is from TPC Studios and has become a favorite .It is double sided card stock called Monster Mash Batty
IT was cut at 8.88 inches using my Gypsy to size it and create all the embellishment.
the coffin box is on page 72
The design piece on top of the box is on page 58 I cut it in black then hide all the inner cuts to cut a slid yellow backing piece.
'The bat is from page 48 cut at about 1 3/4 inches Dracula's silhouette was cut at about 1 inch in read and again in black just slightly larger to create the shadow
I added some black and red glitter and popped up the Dracula and the bat.
Wish I had some candy to put in the box but I haven't shopped for that yet!

I am going to send this treat box ( filled with some "Treats" )to one lucky person chosen by random.org from all the comments left on my site. So don't forget to comment!

I am the last stop on your Halloween 3-D creations tour !!!! Have a great Halloween and remember the most important words "Trick or Treat"
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you've enjoyed your haunting hop

Carving Out Good Times Blog Hop

Welcome to Scrapping with Lisa's Designs Design Team Carving Out Good Times. In Lisa's store, she has two (2) files for Carving out Good Times - the bears and the children   . The Design Team has been challenged this month to do a two-page lay-out to showcase these designs. If you have arrived from Rhonda then your carving skills are wonderful, just watch out for those pumpkin seeds and the mush inside. If you have just came upon my blog and would like to start at the beginning, so you don't miss any sp0oky LO's, then please start at Lisa's
I used Lisa's Children's file to create my layout pages. I have three Grandchildren LOL and they are my favorite subjects!!

'
Lisa's files come in many formats and since I don't have a machine to cut them I use her PDF file print i out and cut by hand. I inked all the edges with Martha Stewart inks and glued then together. After cropping my photos I mated them with orange and then black CS. T patterned paper is Recollection from last year's Halloween pack.. All I have left is to put in some journaling.

, Your next stop in our blog today is  Lynda. but watch out for sharp knives and again, that mush inside. In case you get lost along the way due to all the seeds and mush inside of those dang pumpkins, here is the complete line-up:

The hop starts with Lynne ~ (http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com). You won't want to miss a single calendar event not to mention the weddings, graduations, birthdays -- ok, you get the idea!!!!

I chose Columbus Day and National Candy Corn Day

To create this card I used my Gypsy and a digital file from CCR ( Cricut Craft Room ) called Classroom October and November. I cut the ship at 3 inches  I used dark brown cs for the top layer, white cs for the sails and a dark grey for the shadow layer The title was also part of the file and was cut at just under 1 inc from red cs the shadow was cut from the same dark grey cs and the little ship on the title was cut in black cs
I embossed the base of the sip with forest branches to give it some depth. The patterned paper for both my projects were from digital paper file "Vintage Summer" from My Memories created by Mel Hains Designs.  that I printed for my cards. added a bit of twine a torn blue strip for the water and some red glitter glue.

My second card is for National Candy Corn Day

I cut the candy corn image from "Smiley Card" from some very shiny orange cs and embossed it with a new Cuttle bug folder from the Midnight Haunting set. it was cut at 3.5 inches and the layers were cut from white and yellow cs the shadow layer was cut in brown.cs The title i found on the Mini monster cartridge ans cut it at Just a little larger than 1.5 inches the mat papers are from the same digital file as the first card added a little inking, stickles and a brown ribbon.
I hope you enjoyed my creations and it is time to head  on over to Lisa Peters  to see what she has created for today!  Don't forget to leave some bloggy love if you would like a chance at the blog candy!
