For my first day I chose National Lace Day. I have lots of fond memories of My Grandmother sitting in the rocking chair crocheting away her favorite thing was lace edgings on hand kerchiefs. She had all the stitch patterns in her head I never saw her use a pattern ever. ( she sewed the same way no patterns) So in honor of my grandma ( we called her Memer) here is my card:

I am going to share a couple pictures of her sampler book that she created it is about 100 years olf tatered and much loved.

For my second card I chose Mischief Night the night before Halloween. I never knew that it existed until noe so ere is a little History  followed by my card

Mischief Night (also known as Devil's NightHell Night Cabbage NightGate NightMizzy Night  Miggy Night or Goosing Night ) is an annual tradition in parts of the United Kingdom,Canada, and the United States when people (primarily teenagers and preteens) take a degree of license to play pranks and do mischief in their neighbourhoods. The most common date for Mischief Night in England and North Americas October 30, the day before Halloween.

First card is beautiful and love the story of your grandma. What she did is a lost art and so sad. I'm glad you're keeping her memory alive and sharing her beautiful talent. Second card, so cute! I love the way you put the embossing behind with the gate in front.

Wonderful cards. I love the first one especially. I am mad about lace!

In my town October 30th is known as "Gate Night". Supposedly kids used to steal gates from houses.
