Welcome to the November DT Blog hop for "Scrapping With Lisa's Designs"  If you have arrived here from
Rhonda's Blog Then you are in the right place. If you just happened upon my blog and would like to join the hop from the beginning Then go to Kimberly's Blog and start hopping along!
The design team was given two files to use "Card Templates" and "New Friends" Our task was to create two different cards using these files.

For my first card I chose this squarish card I like odd shapes Printed it on a piece of colored Recollections card stock and cut it by hand (I used one piece of 8.5 x 11 card stock to print and cut both cards)
I printed the turkey and the pilgrim bear on white card stock and cut by hand The sentiments are from "Jaded Blossoms" stamp sets "Turkey Poop" and "Thanksgiving Wishes" I put the Turkey on a Wobble as you might guess! I just love wobbles LOL. Added a bit of twine and a tough of bling to complete my cards

Your next stop is  Lynda's Blog where you will find some some more fun ideas!

Our brilliant designers have been given this assignment with only a stipulation as to not have a card but to depict something they are thankful for! Easy peasy, right???? OK, maybe not . . . but sit back a spell, reflect on your own thankfulness while you check out this fabulous line-up:

Banners for Special Needs Kids Blog Hop

Christmas Banners for Special Needs Kids BLOG HOP, November 10-12, 2012

"In the eyes of children, we find the joy of Christmas. In their hearts, we find its meaning."

As joyous as Christmas is for most families, for some, their holidays are filled with worry, medical treatments and tests, and pain -- for their child must be hospitalized or she or he needs long-term care rather than being home with their families.

For these kids, Santa doesn't slip down a chimney but rather, often comes in the guise of community volunteers who help make the season bright.

This is the second Christmas season that our own band of dedicated and loving paper crafters have come together to make Holiday banners for children who are too sick to be home for the holidays.  Welcome to the Christmas Banners for Special Needs Kids blog hop!

I am especially pleased that this year, not only have our numbers of generous crafters swelled so our Hop is over three full days, but also, that we have partnered with another great cause and recipient of our banners!

By teaming up with Madison Womack's I FEEL THE LOVE PROJECT, the banners our crafters have handmade will be going to the hospitalized children at Children's Hospital Central California

First, let me show you the banner I made for today's post. I'll be sending this to Madison and the children at CHCC who are benefiting from the I Feel the Love project in December:

I cut the mittens from Joy of the Season the letters are from Creative Memories Tis The Season Cartridge and the snow flakes are from Winter lace. All the papers are from my huge paper stash I strung them on some chenille yarn.

Now, have I inspired you to make and donate your own banner or a Christmas card or two to the I Feel the Love Project?  I hope so!  Because if you will, you'll be entered into a drawing to win :
CARDMONKEY's SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS
Super-Fantastic Gift Basket
Throughout the month of December, I'll be adding crafty goodness to this basket so that it will be over-flowing and ripe and ready for under your tree. I'll be picking the winner on Christmas Eve, announcing the winner on Christmas Day, and if you win, you'll have the basket in your hands by New Year's Day!!
Stay tuned to the CardMonkey blog over the next few weeks leading up to the drawing, as I'll be posting the contents of the basket as they mount.
OK, so to win the GRAND PRIZE (all continents are welcome!), here's what you must do:
1.  Be a follower of the CardMonkey blog and tell me in your comment how I can contact you.
2.  Leave a comment telling me what you plan to make and send to the IFTL project by their deadline, December 10.  Then do it!  Go to www.ifeeltheloveproject.blogspot.com for mailing information for your card or banner.  Your card or banner MUST be received by Madison by the deadline to be eligible to win the GRAND prize!
NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME??  You can still win great blog candy just by being here and commenting on as many banner makers' blogs over the course of the next three days.
Since we have more than 50 banner makers today, tomorrow and Monday, I'll be picking 5 blogs at random, and then one random comment from that Blog site, for that commenter to win one of five great prizes, which are:
  1. Susan Bermudez, Independent Consultant for Creative Memories, donating a $20 gift certificate for Creative Memories products from her catalog (http://www.mycmsite.com/sites/susanbermudez/).
  2. Scrappin' Madge: $25 Gift Certificate to The Scrappin Lounge Shoppe (http://madgesscrappinlounge.storenvy.com/)
  3. Fresh Brewed Designs: Two prizes - One prize is a rubber stamp, Item #497 "Cutie Pie Ice Skating" (http://www.freshbreweddesigns.com/item_497/Cutie-Pie-Ice-Skating.htm), and the other is a $15 Digital Stamp gift card.
  4. The Paper Temptress (www.papertemptress.com) - Owner Patricia Dunbar will donate a $25 Gift Certificate to her online store, the Paper Temptress.
  5. The Pinque Peacock (www.pinquepeacock.com) - Owners Jessica Shelton will donate a gift certificate to her NEW store (products are being added daily -- watch as she grows!)
  6. In addition, Close to My Heart Independent Consultant Lucy Kelleher will award a $20 gift certificate to a randomly-selected hopper who visits her blog (http://love2createitall.com) and/or Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/LucyK.CTMH) and posts a comment about the banner blog hop!
P.S. -- Be sure to check out as many blogs as you can, as several will be providing their own blog candy with their own requirements.  If I catch them along the way, I'll add them to this list, as a shout out of gratitude, and also so you don't miss out on some sweet candy(canes!)...

  YOUR NEXT STOP is:  Theresa

Thank you again for visiting us here for a beautiful and worthwhile endeavor.  God bless all the little children wherever they spend their holidays!!
Happy Holidays

3 D Halloween

Welcome to I Double Dog Dare You. Each month there is a Double Dog Dare to create a project. This month, is no exception and everyone has been asked to create a Halloween creation that not only depicts Halloween but is a 3-D object.... do you dare to even create???? Let's see how Halloween speaks in a 3-D version ...

The hop begins with Lynne at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/. If you arrived at my blog by accident, don't get me wrong as I love you visiting me but I wouldn't want you to miss one single stop along the way!!!!! Here's the complete line-up just in case you would happen to get frightened and need to close your eyes.......

  5. Anita Cannon    http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com
  6. Janet Smith ~ http://www.ladyluvbug.blogspot.com/

For my project today, I created a treat box using the Happy Haunting's Cricut Cartridge.

The paper for the coffin box is from TPC Studios and has become a favorite .It is double sided card stock called Monster Mash Batty
IT was cut at 8.88 inches using my Gypsy to size it and create all the embellishment.
the coffin box is on page 72
The design piece on top of the box is on page 58 I cut it in black then hide all the inner cuts to cut a slid yellow backing piece.
'The bat is from page 48 cut at about 1 3/4 inches Dracula's silhouette was cut at about 1 inch in read and again in black just slightly larger to create the shadow
I added some black and red glitter and popped up the Dracula and the bat.
Wish I had some candy to put in the box but I haven't shopped for that yet!

I am going to send this treat box ( filled with some "Treats" )to one lucky person chosen by random.org from all the comments left on my site. So don't forget to comment!

I am the last stop on your Halloween 3-D creations tour !!!! Have a great Halloween and remember the most important words "Trick or Treat"
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you've enjoyed your haunting hop

Carving Out Good Times Blog Hop

Welcome to Scrapping with Lisa's Designs Design Team Carving Out Good Times. In Lisa's store, she has two (2) files for Carving out Good Times - the bears and the children   . The Design Team has been challenged this month to do a two-page lay-out to showcase these designs. If you have arrived from Rhonda then your carving skills are wonderful, just watch out for those pumpkin seeds and the mush inside. If you have just came upon my blog and would like to start at the beginning, so you don't miss any sp0oky LO's, then please start at Lisa's
I used Lisa's Children's file to create my layout pages. I have three Grandchildren LOL and they are my favorite subjects!!

'
Lisa's files come in many formats and since I don't have a machine to cut them I use her PDF file print i out and cut by hand. I inked all the edges with Martha Stewart inks and glued then together. After cropping my photos I mated them with orange and then black CS. T patterned paper is Recollection from last year's Halloween pack.. All I have left is to put in some journaling.

, Your next stop in our blog today is  Lynda. but watch out for sharp knives and again, that mush inside. In case you get lost along the way due to all the seeds and mush inside of those dang pumpkins, here is the complete line-up:
Lisa ~ http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/
Edwina ~ http://edwinascreations.blogspot.com/
Rhonda ~ http://craftingwithblue.blogspot.com
Janet ~ http://www.ladyluvbug.blogspot.com/

Hope you liked my layout pages!

The hop starts with Lynne ~ (http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com). You won't want to miss a single calendar event not to mention the weddings, graduations, birthdays -- ok, you get the idea!!!!

I chose Columbus Day and National Candy Corn Day

To create this card I used my Gypsy and a digital file from CCR ( Cricut Craft Room ) called Classroom October and November. I cut the ship at 3 inches  I used dark brown cs for the top layer, white cs for the sails and a dark grey for the shadow layer The title was also part of the file and was cut at just under 1 inc from red cs the shadow was cut from the same dark grey cs and the little ship on the title was cut in black cs
I embossed the base of the sip with forest branches to give it some depth. The patterned paper for both my projects were from digital paper file "Vintage Summer" from My Memories created by Mel Hains Designs.  that I printed for my cards. added a bit of twine a torn blue strip for the water and some red glitter glue.

My second card is for National Candy Corn Day

I cut the candy corn image from "Smiley Card" from some very shiny orange cs and embossed it with a new Cuttle bug folder from the Midnight Haunting set. it was cut at 3.5 inches and the layers were cut from white and yellow cs the shadow layer was cut in brown.cs The title i found on the Mini monster cartridge ans cut it at Just a little larger than 1.5 inches the mat papers are from the same digital file as the first card added a little inking, stickles and a brown ribbon.
I hope you enjoyed my creations and it is time to head  on over to Lisa Peters  to see what she has created for today!  Don't forget to leave some bloggy love if you would like a chance at the blog candy!
